The Future For Gaming?

By ar - Posted on 27 January 2010

Although it is well worth noting that none of the major companies, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, have actually announced that there will be any new console on the way until at least 2012 it is well worth looking to see just what may be going into the new consoles.

Nintendo

It looks like Nintendo need to make the most improvments on their consoles. The Wii is not a great console but Nintendo never promised it would be as successful as any of their predecessors. A lot of people will agree with me when I say that Nintendo have not had a decent console since the N64. Although the Wii has sold a lot more than the PS3 and the Xbox 360 it lacks games for the fans, decent graphics and has very poor motion sensing technology.

If you remember the Wii s actually only a prototype on what is to come so it will be really good to see what is on the way. Better graphics have to be something that is expected.

Sony

Overall the PS3 is not a bad console at all, so what can be done with the next one? Well for starters you cannot complain at the graphics however it just seems to lack the decent games that Microsoft have which is why I think they will concentrate on investing time and money in developers over the next few years. Online play needs to be improved upon too.

Microsoft

Although the 360 is a very goos system overall with many games and great graphics, does it have faults? Of course it has problems one of them being that it is without a browser and the other is that it breaks a lot.

Natal has to be something that is being released instead of a new console?

So perhaps all we need here are a few cable ties a couple of circuit breakers with a dose of deutsch connectors and we could be set for the next generation.
